What's New?

Vanna went in for her doctor's appointment yesterday and weighed in at 12 lbs. 12 oz. She is really filling out. She had a growth spurt with her height too - she is now 24 in. So instead of just growing "horizontally" she is also growing "vertically" now too. Unfortunately, Vanna is losing her hair but new shorter and a little lighter hair comes in. She is starting to babble, has even squealed a few times and yesterday, for the first time, she blew bubbles. She is our little butter ball and getting more adorable by the minute (in my opinion). Here's a look...

We stayed up way too late last night moving the crib in Vanna's room and putting together Cash's bed. Because we don't have an actual guest room, we got Cash a queen bed so that when company comes they can enjoy an actual bed (rather than the air mattress which was our only option before). I just need to get a bed skirt and hang the curtains we have that match the bedroom set.

It might sound silly but I'm so excited to have this done - I finally feel like we're making progress in getting our rooms put together. I have big plans for painting which I can't wait to get started on. I plan on painting irreverent stripes in Vanna's room to go with the new bedding we got (given to us by some amazing friends) and painting Cash's room a kahki green 1/3 the way up and topping it off with a chair rail to match the new bedding we bought him. I have a few ideas for their wall decor too - I'll send completed pictures whenever I get it all done. It might take me a while but the anticipation is fun for me.

VANNA IS ADORABLE, AND GROWING SO FAST. HOPE ALL IS WELL. THE HOUSE IS SO CUTE AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE MORE PIX. TELL EVERYONE HELLO. ARE YOU GOING TO GRMA WHEATLEY'S PARTY IN OCTOBER? WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU. TAKE CARE!

That's awesome! I can relate to the anticipation factor. There is so much more to be done in our house, and our own room is very close to being done, but we can't afford the wood for the trim or chair rail quite yet, so partially completed it will stay, but at least I still have the anticipation, which in my opinion is at LEAST half the fun of home projects!

How cute is their bedding. I am looking for Hallee and Blyss some bedding right now. Where did you get Cash's bedding? I can't believe how big Vanna is getting, she is going to pass up Blyss real soon!

We did the same thing with CAleb's bed he think it is fun to have a "BIG" bed, and yet no one ever comes to visit us all the way up here. I just don't get it, I told our family how wonderful it is and yet they still don't come. Maybe someday we will have some visiters.
I love the kids beds they are so cute!

I can't believe how much Vanna has grown. She has really made progress from that little tiny package we remember!

Cute! Will you come and decorate my house...um...when I have one? I always loved how you kept your house. I took more than one idea from your apartment, and did it to mine. (like the decorations on top of my cupboard, and the liners INSIDE my cupboard, etc.!)

Vanna looks SO ROUND! I want to see you guys soon. I bet Cash loves his big bed. How is he adjusting to sleeping in it? It's a whole different story when the lights go out, and it's not just to play on!

Erica, I didn't know you were such a great decorator but I should've guessed. Those rooms are already adorable! Once again, I'm sorry about the broken wall hanging. But thanks for having us for dinner- we really enjoyed visiting with you.

Way cute bedding. I bet Cash just loves his big boy bed. I think the shopping and finding just the perfect thing is fun. We are thinking of painting as well. So many decisons. Vanna is looking adorable with those cute chubby cheeks. She resembles Cash a little bit. I would love to see more pics of the inside of your house.
